I completed my BS-MS (integrated bachelor’s and master’s) dual degree at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) in India. During my master’s thesis, I was introduced to the fascinating world of malaria while studying the role and binding motifs of AP2 transcription factors in Plasmodium. The complex molecular workings of the malaria parasite drew me in, and I became especially interested in the host-parasite interactions during infection.

Now, with the support of the Darwin Trust, I'm beginning my PhD in the Spence lab, where I’m exploring the role of monocytes in disease tolerance of malaria.

Outside the lab, I love reading, traveling, and experimenting with new recipes.
